About the 3 R's Bookclub and Events
We were formed as an all inclusive bookclub, for those who know how difficult it can be meeting, and maintaining friendships as busy adults, we meet in person in the Houston, Texas metro area and monthly Virtually. The group offers monthly meet ups both in person and online. We also offer a variety of events and retreats, where hopefully you will find something maybe new to try, or something you love to do!

We’ll start our first full day with breakfast and coffee at the retreat house.

Our morning adventure takes us to beautiful Garvan Woodland Gardens.
We’ll have time to wander the gardens, enjoy the Lake Hamilton scenery, take plenty of photos, and explore at a relaxed pace.
📚 Downtown Hot Springs & Bookstore Exploring
After the gardens, we’ll head into downtown Hot Springs for an afternoon of exploring.
Our time downtown may include:

- Time to explore on your own
Want even more relaxation? This is also a great opportunity to schedule an optional thermal bath or spa treatment.

After dinner, we’ll return to the retreat house for a relaxed evening of reading, conversation, snacks, and bookish fun.

📚 Saturday Afternoon — Your Retreat, Your Choice
The afternoon is intentionally left open.
Spend it however you’d like:
Continue exploring Hot Springs, browse more shops, visit a coffee shop, schedule a spa or thermal bath treatment, or head back to the house, grab your book, and read for hours.
This is your vacation, too! You are never required to participate in every group activity.
🎨 Saturday Night at the House
We’ll enjoy a casual dinner at the retreat house and spend our final evening together.
Optional activities may include bookish crafts, games, a book-to-movie adaptation, snacks and drinks, or—you guessed it—more reading!

One More Chapter
We’ll enjoy a relaxed final morning with breakfast and coffee at the retreat house.
Grab your book for one last reading session, exchange recommendations with your new bookish friends, take some group photos, and pack up before checkout.

FRIDAY — Pike Place & Downtown Seattle
We’re heading into the heart of Seattle!
Spend the day exploring Pike Place Market, grabbing a cup of Seattle coffee, browsing books, shopping from local vendors and taking in one of the city’s most iconic destinations.
We’ll also visit independent bookstores before heading back to the retreat house for dinner and our cozy Silent Reading Party.
SATURDAY — Books & Brews Day! ☕📚
This is the BIG one!
Grab your tote bag because we’re spending the day exploring some of Seattle’s best-loved bookstores and coffee shops.
Our planned stops include iconic independent bookstores, charming used-book shops and local coffee houses.
There will be plenty of opportunities to browse, buy books, sip coffee and discover your new favorite Seattle spot.
Saturday evening we’ll dress up a little and head out for our Farewell Dinner together!
SUNDAY — One Last Cup ☕
We’ll slow things down Sunday morning with a cozy farewell brunch, coffee and time to talk about our favorite books, bookstores, coffee shops and memories from the weekend.
Then it’s time to pack those book-filled suitcases and say, “Until the next retreat!”
